Women Infant and Children (WIC) is the federal government’s special supplemental nutrition program for Women, Infants and Children up to age five. WIC provides food benefits for those that qualify and are struggling to fulfill nutritional needs. The Wellness Plan Medical Centers is committed to ensuring new mothers have what they need to care for themselves and their family. We partner with organizations who share our goals, such as the Urban League of Detroit and Southeast Michigan.
WIC provides qualifying women and children up to age five with nutritional needs, promotes breastfeeding, and makes referrals based on health needs.
